Bicyclist killed in Chesapeake, VA after hit by automobile

Around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, police were called to the 900 block of Johnstown Road where a man was found dead after being hit by a car.

No names have been released.

A 21-year-old woman drove up in a 1997 Oldsmobile soon after police arrived. Police said it appears she was responsible for striking the bicycle with her car.

The motorist who hit him may face charges.  It was unclear if alcohol was a factor.
