Bicyclist killed Saturday morning after struck by a drunk driver

A deadly accident over the weekend killed a bicyclist and a Norfolk man has been charged with drunk driving.

51-year-old Robert Jarvis is the Norfolk man charged with DUI.

Police spokesman Chris Amos said further police investigation will determine if further charges will be filed.

The bicyclist killed was Paul Marqueeant, 49. The accident occurred early Saturday morning. Marqueeant was riding his bicycle on Tidewater Drive around 3:15 a.m. when he was struck by Jarvis.
