Another pedestrian has been struck and killed by a driver in Hampton, VA, the latest in a series of pedestrian deaths in the city.

The woman was hit by a car and killed on N. King Street in Hampton on Jan. 29, 2012, the Virginian-Pilot reported.

At 4:41 a.m. police officers and the Hampton Fire and Rescue Division responded to a call that a pedestrian had been hit near the intersection of Bayberry Court, according to a police news release.

The victim, Kameka Sharae Holliday, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was hit by a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt traveling north after she fell into the road, police said.
