Driver charged with DUI after a collision that left two dead and one injured

A 20-year-old Norfolk man faces multiple charges from a July 11 collision.  Daniel Lee Jamison, Jr.,  was charged with DUI, suspended license, no insurance and underage possession of alcohol, Master Police Officer Chris Amos, department spokesman, said in a news release Monday.

He was arrested Sunday night after he was released was the hospital, where he was treated for injuries from a crash on North Military Highway.

Amos said additional charges, if any, concerning the deaths of Michael D. Hall, 20 and Laura M. Etzell, 21 will be decided by the commonwealth’s attorney.

Police said Jamison ran a red light at approximately 1:50am and struck Hall, Etzell and a third passenger who was severely injured.
