Gloucester, VA man charged with DUI and manslaughter for the death of his friend

21-year-old David Dentler was sentenced to serve two years in prison for a drunk driving accident that caused the death of his friend.
Denter was driving a two door sedan when he lost control of his car, flipped it and slammed into a tree. His friend, passenger, 18-year-old David Dunlap, died of injuries sustained from the automobile accident.
Dentler pleaded guilty to manslaughter charges while during under the influence of alcohol. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and had all but two years of the term suspended by the Circuit Judge. He was also ordered to speak to children on the dangers of drinking and drinking, at least once a year for eight years.
