Tragic car crash kills mother and daughter in Virginia Beach, VA

Type:  Multiple Car Crash – Fatal

At around 8:30pm Tuesday night a two-door Scion and GMC Yukon collided in the intersection of Dam Neck Road and Corporate Landing Parkway.  The collision was a result of confusion as to who had the right of way.

The GMC Yukon flipped over several times and ejected the front seat passenger and her daughter who was a passenger in the back seat, behind her.  The daughter, who is believed to be less than 5 years old, died at the scene.  Her mother died later in the Hospital.

Her husband was the driver of the GMC Yukon was her son was also in the back seat of the vehicle during the car crash, both had no visible injuries.

The female driver of the Scion was also taken to the hospital, but with minor injuries.

The accident is still under investigation.
